Get Your KC Kids into the Kitchen
Itching to find some new things for the kids to do this winter? Try cooking classes!
A Thyme for Everything in downtown Lee’s Summit is hosting a class this Saturday, February 7th. The theme is Valentine’s Fun – the kids will make Valentine’s treats and bring home a gift for mom and dad! Check the cooking class schedule on A Thyme for Everything’s website for more “Kids’ Thyme” classes coming soon!
A Thyme for Everything also has a full schedule of cooking classes for adults. Of particular interest to many moms and dads in the Kansas City area will be the March 25th Nutrition for Autism class and the March 31st Gluten-Free Cooking class.
On the Kansas side, the Culinary Center of Kansas City (in downtown Overland Park) has several up-coming children’s cooking classes as well. A few spots are still available for the two Valentine’s Candy Making Parties (9am and 1pm) scheduled for Sunday, February 8th. For ages 5 to 8 with an adult.
If you’re looking for something to do on President’s Day, the Culinary Center has a kids’ cake decorating class for ages 9 to 14 (Monday, February 16th at 10am). Take a peek at their website for more kids’ classes in March – including Italian, pizza and more!

My bad! I’ve fixed the article and the links. My apologies to our readers and A Thyme for Everything. I actually listed them correctly in the tags at the end of the article and in our Cooking Class directory – just messed it up here!
Thanks for the heads-up – I really appreciate it! (I shouldn’t write these articles late at night…)
