St. Patrick’s Day Parades

Irish or not, St. Patrick’s Day is always a fun time to don your best green and take the family out for some fun. Here are a few fun-for-the-whole-family parades.

42nd Annual Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade: This year’s “March of the Irish” parade will be led by long-time KC Royals favorite, Frank White as Grand Marshal.

Monday, March 17, 11am in Midtown/Westport: Goes down Broadway Boulevard; begins at Linwood/33rd Street and goes south to 43rd Street. Children’s activities are available in the park across from the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial at 43rd and Broadway. Go to http://kcirishparade.com/ for parking and other information

Brookside 34th Annual St. Patrick’s Warm-Up Parade: All ages will celebrate the luck of the Irish at this annual community “feel good” parade. Everyone is Irish on this day in Brookside!

Saturday, March 15, 2014, 2pm at the Brookside Shopping District (63rd and Wornall Kansas City, MO). For more information, go to http://www.brooksidekc.org/bba/st-patricks-parade.

Shawnee St. Patrick’s Day Parade: The entire family will have fun cheering on all the great parade entries; a variety of activities will take place before and after this parade, including the 26th annual Duck Race, 4:30pm at Herman Laird Park/Shawnee Town (new location this year). Sunday, March 16 at 1pm: Goes down Johnson Drive from Monrovia east to Nieman Road.
