Independence Day is coming soon, and so are many KC-area fireworks displays! Here’s a look at the many 4th of July Fireworks displays to look forward to in and around the KC Metro area…starting soon. - Lansing KS Fireworks – The fun will start at 6pm with inflatable rides, food vendors and more! Kenneth W. Bernard Community Park – approximately 9:30pm
- Star Spangled Swim: Singing & dancing to patriotic music, participate in a parade around the center, decorate a flag cookie, then splash around in the indoor pool! 10am-12:30pm at Blue Valley Activity Center, $20/$25 (non-resident); for ages 2-5 with participating adult

- Cities of Westwood, Fairway, Mission Woods, Roeland Park & Westwood Hills Fireworks – St. Agnes Athletic Field at dusk; 5130 Mission Rd, Roeland Park, KS 66205
- Independence Day Celebration, City of Independence – gates open at 6pm, entertainment begins at 7pm, fireworks at 9:30pm; at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Pageant Grounds & Mormon Visitor Center, 937 W. Walnut, Independence, MO
- Liberty4thFest, Liberty, MO – Fountain Bluff Sports Complex, the fun begins at 6pm with food trucks & tons of family-fun activities; fireworks begin at 10pm

- Smithville Lake Annual Fireworks Display – 9pm at the Dam and Litton Way
- Gladstone MO Fireworks – Oak Grove Park – 7-10:30pm with live music followed by fireworks
- Platte City Fireworks – patriotic music with fireworks beginning around 9:45pm – Platte Ridge Park, 17130 371 Hwy, Platte City, MO 64079
- Higginsville Family Fun & Fireworks Festival – Fairground Park – fun begins at 5:30pm; fireworks at dusk
- KC Royals Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular at the K
On the Kansas Side –
- Fireworks and Salute to the Union – Fort Leavenworth, KS – Entertainment begins at 5pm, a Salute to the Union ceremony at 8:30pm; fireworks at 9:30pm; Merritt Lake – Grant Ave. Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027
- Fourth of July Celebration – Leawood City Park – activities begin at 6pm; music begins at 7:30pm; fireworks at 9:45pm, admission is free, an all-access ride/activity wristband is $5
- Overland Park Star Spangled Spectacular, Corporate Woods, Overland Park, KS – gates open at 5pm and includes live music; fireworks begin at 9:45pm
- Olathe KS Fireworks – College Boulevard Activity Complex (CBAC), 11031 S. Valley Parkway, at 9:45 pm
- Gardner KS Fireworks – Live entertainment, fun kids activities and food vendors starts at 3:30pm, fireworks at 10pm at Celebration Park, 32501 W. 159th St., Gardner, KS 66030
- Stilwell KS Parade & Fireworks – parade and fireworks 7:30 to 9:30; KCPL Service Center located at 19950 Newton Street (69 Highway and 199th Street) in Stilwell, Kansas 66085
- Kansas City T-bones Post-Game Independence Day Fireworks at CommunityAmerica Ballpark

- 4th of July at the Farmstead – Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, Overland Park, KS – activities from 9am-noon including bike parade, pig calling, and more for your little ones
- Community Days Parade, Lenexa, KS – beginning at 10am in Old Town Lenexa
