Look what $1 will get you on Monday, July 19!!!
The Kansas City Zoo is hosting Child Appreciation Day on Monday, July 19, 2010. To start, the Zoo is offering $1 child admission for ages 3-11 (ages 2 and under are free; and as always, free to FOTZ Members). A kid Zoo-favorite — corn dogs – are the Zoo-magical Monday $1 special offered to kids of all ages!
You and your kids can also rock with Radio Disney from 10 a.m. – noon. There’s still more going on (all included with the $1 kid admission!)– kiddos can create their own animal chalk art, meet KCPT Clifford from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and learn about child safety with Farmer’s Insurance and much more.
In addition, kids can attend a “Keeper Chat”, catch a Sea Lion Show, the KCZoo Live Show and feed an Australian lorikeet by hand. We’ll definitely be hitting the lorikeets again this summer–so much fun! It takes a second to get used to (the whole flying birds landing on your body bit and all) but it’s really neat.
The Kansas City Zoo is open 9:30am-4pm weekdays and 9:30am-5 weekends. Admission is $11.50 for adults, $10.50 for seniors, and $8.50 for children ages 3-11. Do the math–you can save $7.50 PER TICKET for each kid you take to the zoo on Monday! Gather your friends and head over to the zoo on Monday!
