Easter in KC 2018

Some inklings of spring (Kansas-style anyway) are starting to emerge, and with that comes tons of Easter activities in the KC area! You can always take a stroll on the Country Club Plaza to enjoy the giant Easter bunnies, or visit your neighborhood shopping center for a photo with a life-sized bunny. If you’re looking for something a little different, here are some other fun ways to make Easter a family event:

  • Easter Egg Dive: Dive for eggs at Grandview Parks & Rec’s annual Easter Egg Dive, 10am at The View’s indoor pool. Register early as this event fills up quickly! The View, 13500 Byars Road, Grandview, MO 64030

  • Easter Bunny at Crown Center: Kids of all ages can meet and greet the Easter Bunny! Take your own photos, or get a professional photographer to take your pictures (for a fee). Noon-4pm in Crown Center Shops Atrium, March 24, 25, 30 & 31.
  • Ollie’s BIG Egg Hunt and VIP Breakfast at Paradise Park: It’s an egg-citing good time with eggs galore, games and more spread across 3 acres! Breakfast at 9am (reservations only); hunt at 1:30pm; Paradise Park, 1021 NE Colbern Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086
  • Spring Jamboree: Easter egg hunt, crafts, field games, and photo ops. 10am-2pm at Shoal Creek Living History Museum, 7000 Northeast Barry Road, Kansas City, MO 64156; ages 2-12

  • Easter Egg-stravaganza: Enjoy egg hunts, mini train rides, real bunnies, face painting, crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny! Specific egg hunt times by age group; 10am-noon, Rotary Park, 600 NW Vesper Street, Blue Springs, MO 64014
  • Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt: Help find 2,000+ eggs with your flashlight! $5 fee includes a bag full of candy, hot dogs and soda, and eggs that are filled with candy and local coupons; register by March 16; for ages 6-12; 7pm at Hidden Valley Park
  • Spring Extravaganza 2018: Enjoy arts and crafts, games, refreshments, and an egg hunt! Free, noon-2pm at Marlborough Community Center, 8200 Paseo, KCMO 64131
  • Easter Begg Hunt: Your dog will have a GRReat time sniffing out over 2,000 eggs stuffed with our treats and coupons! Registration is $12 in advance; $15 day of the event. Noon-2:30pm at Mill Creek Park
  • Easter Bunny’s Extreme Egg Hunt: The Easter Bunny has taken the traditional egg hunt to the extreme with a GPS search! Lunch and pictures with the Easter Bunny included! Register by March 20, Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch Road, Merriam, Kansas, 66219
  • Brunch with the Bunny:  Face painting, crafts, games, a light brunch and egg hunt are part of the festivities. For ages 2-9; $6/person; 10-11:30am; Irene B. French Community Center, 5701 Merriam Dr.

  • Spring Egg Hunt at Westport-Roanoke: Get as many sweet treats as you can, then head inside for refreshments and a performance by Stone Lion Puppets! 1-2:30pm at Westport Roanoke Community Center
  • Southeast Spring Egg Hunt: Hunt for more than 4,000 eggs in Swope Park! Kids ages 2-12 will enjoy candy, treats, games and fun! 3-4pm at Southeast Community Center, 4201 E. 63rd St, KCMO
  • Eggstravaganza: Leawood Parks & Rec’s annual egg hunt is fun for the whole family! Free for all participants ages 8 & under; Boy Scouts serve a hot dog lunch for a nominal fee; Leawood City Park, 10601 Lee Blvd, Leawood, KS
